Who is responsible for your information

Alchimie En Action is responsible for the personal information collected on this site. The person in charge of protecting personal information is Éric Trottier, who can be reached at contact@alchimieenaction.com or by mail at 136, rue de la Charente, Saint-Jérôme, Quebec J7Y 5J6.

What information is collected?

I only collect the information you choose to send me:

• Contact form: your first name, last name, email address and message.
• Appointment request: your first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), the chosen service, the preferred time, the meeting format and what you would like to shed light on.
• Birth data, when the reading requires it: date, time and place of birth and, for some readings, your place of residence or the period studied.
• Relationship readings (synastry, composite chart): the other person’s first name and birth data.
• Energy healing: any information you find useful to share to prepare the session.

Your birth data and information about your personal journey are sensitive information: I handle it with particular care and use it only to prepare your consultation.

Another person’s information

For a relationship reading, you send me information about another person. By sending it, you confirm that you have their consent. I use this information only for the requested reading and never contact that person without your agreement.

Why is this information used?

I use your information to answer your messages, manage your appointment requests, calculate and prepare your reading, write to you about your appointment (confirmation, rescheduling, cancellation) and meet my legal and tax obligations.

I never sell your information, never use it for advertising, and never add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.

Your consent

By sending a form, you consent to my using your information for the purposes described here. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to me; I will then delete your information, except for what the law requires me to keep.

Service providers and sharing

I only share your information with the providers needed to run the site, and only for that purpose:

• Website hosting: DreamHost, whose servers may be located outside Quebec, including in the United States. Your requests are stored in a protected area that only I can access.
• Email delivery: DreamHost, my web host, for confirmations and replies. Your birth data never appears in automatic emails.
• Deposit payment: PayPal. The payment is processed directly by PayPal, under its own privacy policy. I never store credit card numbers.
• Fonts: the site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which sends your IP address to Google.
• Interactive map: the Google Maps map on the Contact page only loads if you click it. Google may then collect data under its own policy.

When information is stored outside Quebec, I make sure it receives adequate protection, as the law requires.

Cookies

The site uses no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools. One technical cookie only remembers your language choice (French or English). The Google services mentioned above may set their own cookies.

How long information is kept

Your appointment requests and messages, including your birth data, are automatically deleted 365 days after your appointment date (or after your message was received). You may ask for earlier deletion at any time.

Accounting records related to a payment (amount, date, name) are kept for the period required by tax laws; they contain no birth data.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your requests are stored in the site’s password-protected administration area, which only I can access. The notifications I receive by email contain no birth data. If a confidentiality incident created a risk of serious harm, I would notify you and Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

Minors

My consultations are intended for adults. Information about a person under 14 may only be sent to me with the consent of the person having parental authority.

Your rights

At any time, you may ask to access your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or have it deleted by writing to contact@alchimieenaction.com. I will reply within 30 days.

If you believe your information has not been handled properly, you may file a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy when my practices or tools change. The date of the last update appears at the bottom of this page.
